Context
In this chapter, Jesus is preparing His disciples for His impending departure and assuring them of the Holy Spirit’s guidance and His promise of eternal life.
Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.

How to read it
Jesus is telling His friends that even though He’s about to peace out of the world physically, He’ll still be around in spirit. Because He’s alive, all of us who stick with Him get eternal life too. It’s like having an unbeatable connection to Him, and that connection means we get to live forever, just like He’s promised.
Let’s pray
Heavenly Father,
thank You for the promise of eternal life that we have in Your Son, Jesus Christ. I am grateful that because He lives, I can face every day with confidence, knowing that eternal life is assured. Help me to stay connected to Jesus, even when the world feels overwhelming. Grant me the courage to live out this life in a way that honors Your promise.
