Context

In John 15, Jesus speaks about the importance of staying connected to Him, the true vine, and how His followers are like branches that bear fruit when they remain in Him.

If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
 ––John 15:7 KJV

How to read it

If we stay tight with Jesus, then whatever we ask for can happen. It’s like having that ultimate cheat code in life where staying connected gives you access to all the cool stuff He promises. But remember: it’s not about treating God like a vending machine. It’s about building that awesome relationship where He’s got our backs.

Let’s pray

Heavenly Father,
help me to stay connected to You and let Your words take root in my heart. Thank You for the promise that if I remain in You, I can ask what I need, and You will hear me. I pray for the strength to keep my focus on You in all situations. May my desires align with Your will and reflect Your love and goodness.
