Zechariah 4:6 – Promise of Divine Strength

Listen to an audio version of this

Context

This chapter centers around Zechariah’s vision where God reassures Zerubbabel, the governor of Judah, to rebuild the temple with divine support rather than relying on human strength.

Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.
––Zechariah 4:6 KJV

How to read it

God is saying that it’s not about having super muscles or crazy technology to get things done. It’s all about letting God, through His Spirit, be the boss of the hustle. When you’re up against tough stuff in life, you don’t have to do it all on your own because God’s got your back, and He’s got the ultimate power boost that no one else can beat.

Let’s pray

Heavenly Father,
thank you for reminding me that I don’t have to go through life relying on my own strength. Help me to lean on your Spirit every day as I face challenges. Show me the way when I am confused and strengthen me when I feel weak. May your power shine through me so others can see your greatness.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
