Context

2 Corinthians 13 is the closing chapter of Paul’s second letter to the church in Corinth, where he encourages unity, spiritual maturity, and mutual love among believers.

Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.
 ––2 Corinthians 13:11 KJV

How to read it

Paul is wrapping up his letter to the Corinthians by telling them to chill, level up in spirituality, and sync up with one another. It’s like saying that when everyone’s on the same page, and there’s positive energy flowing, God’s presence is gonna be felt big time. When we create a peaceful and loving atmosphere, we’re inviting God to hang out with us.

Let’s pray

Heavenly Father,
thank You for the promise of Your peace and love being with us. Help us to grow in unity and understanding with one another. Let our hearts be filled with comfort and harmony as we strive to live in peace together. Guide us to be better and to reflect Your love in all that we do. May Your presence be always with us, bringing peace to our relationships and our communities.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
