Context: In Luke chapter 11, Jesus teaches about prayer, spiritual battles, and how obedience to God’s word leads to real blessings.
“But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.” –Luke 11:28 KJV
How to read it: Jesus says you’re super blessed not just by hearing God’s words, but by doing what they say. Think about how cool it is when you learn something important, and it actually makes your life better when you apply it. That’s what happens with God’s word—it’s more than just good advice. When you actually live by God’s teachings, you unlock amazing blessings and joy that you can’t find anywhere else.
Heavenly Father,
You are wonderful, and I thank You so much for Your amazing Word.
Thank You for speaking truth into my life and showing me the path to true blessings.
Help me, Lord, not just to hear Your Word, but to keep it in my heart and act on it every single day.
Strengthen me when it’s hard to follow Your teachings, and guide me so I can please You in everything I do.
I pray this trusting in Your faithful promise, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
