Context

Psalm 119 is a chapter focused on the beauty and power of God’s law and its ability to guide, comfort, and inspire believers.

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

How to read it

Imagine living in a dark room and needing to find your way out. God’s word is like having a flashlight, showing us which way to go in life’s confusion and uncertainty, so we don’t bump into anything. When you’re feeling lost or unsure, know that leaning on God will illuminate your path. It’s like a GPS for your spirit, soul and mind.

Let’s pray

Heavenly Father,
I give You thanks for providing me with Your word that guides and teaches me. You illuminate the darkness and uncertainties in my life, allowing me to walk confidently. I pray for the wisdom to understand Your word more deeply. Please help me to trust in Your guidance through every season of life.
