Context
Proverbs 3 is a chapter filled with wisdom and guidance for living a righteous and peaceful life under the blessings of God’s favor.
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
––Proverbs 3:5 KJV
How to read it
This verse is saying straight up to put all your trust in God. Fully commit. Don’t rely on your own brain and what you think, because, honestly, we don’t see the full picture. God’s got this infinite perspective on everything, and He knows more about our lives and what’s best for us than we do. Instead of tripping on what you don’t get, just go all in on that divine trust and let Him guide you. He’s like the ultimate GPS, and sometimes the route doesn’t make sense to us, but it’ll always get you where you need to be.
Let’s pray
Heavenly Father,
thank you for your unwavering love and the direction you provide us in our lives. I praise you for the wisdom and peace that comes from trusting you with all my heart. I trust in You and Your guidance over my own understanding in everything I do. Your Spirit guides my thoughts and actions, keeping me aligned with your will.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
